The Vancouver Canucks announced they've place forward Vitali Kravtsov on unconditional waivers with the intent of mutually terminating his contract.

Kravtsov, who was selected ninth overall by the New York Rangers in 2018, struggled to find his footing in the NHL. Through 48 career games with the Rangers, he only put up 10 points. He was dealt to Vancouver in 2023 and split time with the NHL team, Traktor Chelyabinsk (KHL) and the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL).

In 10 games with Abbotsford this season, he posted a goal, three assists and a -7 rating.

Following his contract termination, Kravtsov is expected to sign a contract to return to Traktor Chelyabinsk.
