Canucks farm team now knows when and where it will play next season
The Abbotsford Canucks have released their schedule for the upcoming American Hockey League season. The team will begin play on Friday October 13th in Laval against the Montreal Canadians farm team.
The Canucks will begin their season with a pair of games in Laval before returning to Abbotsford for their home opener on October 20th against the Calgary Wranglers. That is a rematch of last season's Pacific Division best of five semi-final which the Wranglers won in four games. For the second straight regular season, the Canucks and Wranglers will face-off twelve times.
Due to travel considerations, Abbotsford's schedule is loaded with games against Pacific Division rivals. The Canucks will face Bakersfield (EDM), Ontario (LAK), Colorado (COL), Henderson (VGK) and Coachella Valley (SEA) eight times apiece with four games scheduled against San Diego (ANA), San Jose (SJS) and Tucson (ARZ).
Abbotsford will play at least one home game on every day of the week over the course of the season. Saturdays lead the way with a dozen games followed by seven Friday games and five Wednesdays. There are three Sunday games and those will begin at 4pm with the one Monday game set for a 2pm face-off on Family Day in February.
