After being scratched for the third time this season, Andrei Kuzmenko's agent, Dan Milstein, commented on his client's future with the organization. Joshua Griffith, a reporter for Sports Talk Line, spoke with Milstein, who stated, "Andrei is very happy to be in Vancouver." In the statement given to Griffith, Milstein also explained that there is constant communication between the team and his client and that there is a plan regarding the Russian winger. After Griffith shared these comments via social media, Milstein and the Gold Star Hockey "X" account reposted the posts, confirming their validity.

After recording 39 goals last season, Kuzmenko has struggled to start the 2023-24 campaign with just six goals in 29 games. He has also been relegated to the fourth line, where his even-strength ice time is consistently below ten minutes a night. Signed until the end of the 2024-25 season and carrying a cap hit of $5.5 million, this situation needs to be sorted out sooner rather than later.

As for Milstein, who is the CEO of Gold Star Sports Management Group, he has been very forthcoming about his clients this season. Whether it is going on local television to speak about the Nikita Zadorov trade to Vancouver or contacting reporters to discuss the relationship between the Canucks and Kuzmenko, he is willing to do whatever he can to promote the players he represents in the NHL. With over 100 clients, including Ilya Mikheyev, Ilya Sorokin, and Nikita Kucherov, fans around the league can expect to hear plenty more from Milstein as the season progresses.
