The Vancouver Canucks (37-13-6) will be looking for their league-leading 38th win on Monday when they visit the Minnesota Wild (25-23-6). This is the start of a three-game road trip that will see Vancouver play in three different time zones over four days. The two teams have split the season series so far, with each picking up wins in their home arena.
After falling 4-2 to the Jets on Saturday, the biggest question is how will the Canucks respond? They have had trouble against the Wild this season and will need a strong effort if they want to get back in the win column. Expect a tough battle as Vancouver aims to tie their win total from a season ago.
Players to Watch
Brock Boeser
Brock Boeser has struggled to produce since the All-Star break. He has recorded a point in his last six games, with his last goal coming on Jan. 27 versus the Columbus Blue Jackets. Hopefully, a trip to his home state will spark the Canucks winger as he looks to become the 16th player in franchise history to hit the 170-goal mark.
Joel Eriksson Ek
No Wild player has scored more goals in 2024 than Joel Eriksson Ek. The Swedish center has kicked his game into another gear and is currently riding a four-game point streak. One of the best two-way centers in the league, expect him to have an signifcant impact at both ends of the ice.
