After the Vancouver Canucks have made a number of moves impacting their blueline, their AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks, have signed defenceman Christian Felton to a one-year deal that will keep him with the team through the rest of the 2025–26 season. Felton first joined the Canucks organization during the 2024–25 season, skating in 13 games for Abbotsford while also spending seven in the ECHL with the Kalamazoo Wings. This season, he has played primarily with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, scoring three goals and six assists in 30 games, while also logging six games with Abbotsford and three with the Cincinnati Cyclones. Felton’s signing comes after the Canucks organization made two moves that will impact their defensive depth moving forward. Vancouver’s next game takes place tomorrow, after the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline, when they face the Chicago Blackhawks at 5:30 pm PT.
