Welcome to this edition of the Vancouver Canucks fan survey results. In this article, we take a look at how the fans feel about the Canucks season so far. Twenty-eight games in, and it is clear that fans are optimistic that this will be the year Vancouver finally plays a home playoff game at Rogers Arena. Question 1: Who is the Canucks MVP So Far This Season With 79% of the vote, Quinn Hughes is the winner of who fans feel is the team MVP so far this season. While Thatcher Demko and J.T. Miller did receive votes, the Canucks captain emphatically led the way and for good reason. A potential Norris nominee this season, it is hard to imagine where Vancouver would be without their star defender. Question 2: Who Has Been The Canucks Unsung Hero So Far This Season? In his first year as a Canuck, Sam Lafferty has exceeded expectations and is the fan's choice for the team's unsung hero. While Ian Cole, Dakota Joshua and Ilya Mikheyev all received votes, Lafferty led the way at 42%. Now playing on the team's first line, it is hard to imagine anyone predicting this production level when Vancouver traded for him during training camp. Question 3: How Many Canucks Will Be Finalist For Year End Awards? According to fans, two Canucks will be up for year-end awards at the end of the season, nearly edging out three with 36% of the vote. Looking at the roster, there is a case to be made that multiple players and staff will be finalists at the NHL awards in June. Whether that is Hughes for the Norris, Tocchet for the Jack Adams or Patrik Allvin for General Manager of the Year, expect to see some Canucks on ballots around the league. Question 4: Will Quinn Hughes Hit The 100-Point Mark? Even though it has never been done in franchise history, 67% of fans believe the Hughes will top the century mark this season. He is on pace to surpass the 100-point plateau, which would make him just the seventh defenceman in NHL history to hit the milestone. While he may not be putting up the points as frequently over the past few games, it would be hard to bet against him based on his early season success. Canucks Player of the Week_ Nils Höglander, Dec 3-10, 2023 Question 5: Will Brock Boeser Score 50 or More Goals This Season? Brock Boeser is shattering expectations early on and is on pace to become just the third Canuck in franchise history to surpass the 50-goal mark in a season. While there is still a long way to go, it looks as though many believe he will achieve the milestone, as 61% of voters selected yes to this question. It won't be easy, but he looks refreshed this season and ready to chase the milestone. Question 6: Will The Canucks Make The Playoffs? For the first time in a long time, Canuck fans are confident Vancouver will make the playoffs. How confident, you ask? Well, only one voter selected no to this question. Thanks to their strong start and ability to squeak out wins, it looks as though we will finally see a home playoff game at Rogers Arena for the first time since 2015. Question 7: How Far Will The Canucks Make It This Year? Not only are Canuck fans confident that the team will make the playoffs, but 52% believe the team will win a round. If they did, it would be the first time since the 2011 Stanley Cup Final that fans in Vancouver watched their team play at Rogers Arena past the first round. While they may not be Stanley Cup contenders just yet, the experience of winning a playoff round could be massive for this team moving forward. Thank you to all who responded, and make sure to check back around the 50-game mark for another fan survey.
