For the second straight game, defenceman Tyler Myers will particpate in warmups despite not playing. The Vancouver Canucks are actively trying to trade the 36-year-old, meaning he will not be in the lineup on Saturday when Vancouver takes on the Seattle Kraken [http://thn.com/seattle]. Myers has a no-move clause, which means he must agree to any trade before he is moved. After morning skate on Saturday, Adam Foote met with the media in Seattle to speak about the game. One of the questions asked by Thomas Drance of "The Athletic" surrounded the potential injury risk that comes with being on the ice during warmups. Here is how Foote answered the question. "Well, we talked about that a couple of days ago, said Foote. It's a real low-risk thing. If there is going to be a career-ending in warmups, that is highly unlikely. It's the CBA. It's the where we're at as far as the numbers game bringing guys up or down and things like that. So, it's part of the process." Overall, having Myers take the warmup is tempting fate. Even if a player is injured, playing Myers on Saturday night should not be an option due to potential injury concerns. The 2026 trade deadline is scheduled for March 6 at noon PT and is expected to heavily feature the Canucks as the organization continues with it's rebuild.
