Over those 100 games, he scored 17 goals, recorded 40 points and threw 337 hits. He was also a massive pain to play against during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, throwing 33 hits in six games against the Canucks. In fact, his performance against Vancouver in the playoffs was one of the reasons why the Canucks pursued him and gave him a multi-year contract this past offseason. So far, the decision to sign Sherwood looks like a genius move by Patrik Allvin and his staff. He has three goals and eight points in 16 games and, on Saturday night, became the first player in the NHL this season to record 100 hits.
