WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals are currently working through some things in the locker room as an illness appears to be making its rounds.

Coach Spencer Carbery said pregame that the team will have a couple of different skaters warm up and work through potential roster decisions, but overall, the lineup should remain the same.

That means that Henrik Rybinski, who was called up from the Hershey Bears on Saturday with Lars Eller going on the injured reserve, will wait to make his NHL debut.

Alex Ovechkin, meanwhile, remains out through the holiday break, though he upgraded to contact and is practicing with the team.

Here are the projected lines against L.A., who is wrapping up a seven-game road trip.

    Andrew Mangiapane-Dylan Strome-Tom Wilson

    Connor McMichael-Pierre-Luc Dubois-Aliaksei Protas

    Jakub Vrana-Hendrix Lapierre-Taylor Raddysh

    Brandon Duhaime-Nic Dowd-Ivan Miroshnichenko

    Rasmus Sandin-John Carlson

    Jakob Chychrun-Trevor van Riemsdyk

    Martin Fehervary-Matt Roy

    Logan Thompson

    Charlie Lindgren

It marks the first time Pierre-Luc Dubois and Matt Roy will face their former team since parting ways with them in the offseason, while it also marks Darcy Kuemper's first game back at Capital One Arena since he was traded for Dubois this offseason.

Joel Edmundson will also make his D.C. homecoming; he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs at the deadline last season and signed with the Kings this summer.

Washington is looking to build on its Friday win over the Carolina Hurricanes, which came in convincing fashion following back-to-back losses.

Puck drop is at 5 p.m. in D.C.
