The Capitals winger's next game will be the 1,000th of his NHL career.

Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie is set to reach 1,000 NHL games the next time he takes the ice, but questions remain as to whether or not that will come on Saturday against the Vancouver Canucks.

Oshie left Washington's morning skate in Vancouver early and is being evaluated, per The Washington Post's Bailey Johnson. He did not take part in line rushes.

It is unclear what his status is at this time or whether or not he will play against the Canucks at 10 p.m.

The 37-year-old recently returned from an upper-body injury that held him out for nearly three weeks. It was a non-contact injury. He has been limited to just 41 games this season but has still managed 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points.

Oshie scored in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Seattle Kraken and has appeared in 999 career games, racking up 301 goals and 388 assists over 16 years in the NHL.
