Jakub Vrana's second tenure with the Washington Capitals has come to an end, as the Nashville Predators claimed the forward off waivers on Thursday.
The move reunites Vrana with former coach Barry Trotz, who is now Nashville's general manager.
Vrana appeared in just 26 games for the Capitals, posting seven goals and four assists for 11 points while spending the majority of his time as a healthy scratch with no vacancies in the lineup.
Washington waived Vrana on Wednesday in order to create salary cap flexibility ahead of the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline, which is on Friday at 3 p.m.
