The Washington Capitals will watch three of their Hershey Bears in the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic, as Ethen Frank, Clay Stevenson and Dylan McIlrath will make the trip to California for the festivities on Feb. 4-5.

McIlrath will serve as the team captain for the Atlantic Division, while Hershey head coach Todd Nelson, head athletic trainer Shawn Fliszar and assistant equipment manager Dillon Filepas are also set to take part in the classic.

This marks Frank's second consecutive AHL All-Star Classic appearance. The 25-year-old made headlines around the league — and earned quite a few contract offers before signing a one-year, two-way deal with the Capitals — when he broke the fastest skater record with a 12.915-second lap, making him the first player in event history to break the 13-second barrier.

Frank is tied for second on the Bears in scoring with 14 goals and 14 assists through 36 games this season.

Stevenson, meanwhile, earned his first career AHL All-Star appearance. He has been enjoying an impressive rookie season in the AHL, as he's taken the reins in net while also filling in well for Hunter Shepard.

The Dartmouth alum has gone 13-5-0 with a .934 save percentage, 1.79 GAA and five shutouts, the most in the league. He was also named the AHL Goaltender of the Month for December.

The 2024 AHL All-Star Classic will kick off on Sunday, Feb. 4 with the AHL All-Star Skills competition. On Monday, Feb. 5, the AHL will hold its Hall of Fame Induction and Awards ceremony before the All-Star Challenge game later that evening.
