The Capitals kept busy as they prepared for a Super Bowl Sunday matinee against Utah Hockey Club.

ARLINGTON, V.A. — The Washington Capitals are just three periods away from some vacation time, as players are set to head to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Turks and Caicos and several other spots on the globe for the 4 Nations break.

That said, it wasn't a light practice on Saturday; coach Spencer Carbery put his players to work, wanting the team to be in the best shape possible for Sunday's matinee against Utah Hockey Club.

"It's challenging," Carbery said, adding, "We'll do our best as a staff to make sure that their minds are present and we're focused. We're trying to finish this thing the right way. We've got 28 hours left of making sure that we're staying idled in. We want to make sure we finish this the right way."

After all, the team's 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers was far from what the bench boss wanted to see from his squad, and heading into the second half, he wants his group ready to come out stronger.

Still, with D.C. atop the NHL standings once again, Carbery stuck with his same line combinations and power-play units, hoping they continue to click across the board.

Here are the projected combos for Sunday's tilt:

Alex Ovechkin-Dylan Strome-Tom Wilson

Aliaksei Protas-Pierre-Luc Dubois-Connor McMichael

Taylor Raddysh-Lars Eller-Ethen Frank

Brandon Duhaime-Nic Dowd-Andrew Mangiapane

Rasmus Sandin-John Carlson

Martin Fehervary-Matt Roy

Jakob Chychrun-Trevor van Riemsdyk

Logan Thompson

Charlie Lindgren
