The Capitals will see some younger names draw into action on Saturday in Detroit.

The Washington Capitals are heading on the road for the first time in 2023-24, as they will pay a visit to Detroit to take on the Red Wings in another preseason tilt on Saturday.

After the core and usual veterans made their preseason debut on Thursday with some prospects mixed in, Washington will see its younger names lace 'em up over the weekend. Here is the roster.

Forwards: Sonny Milano, Dylan Strome, Aliaksei Protas, Hendrix Lapierre, Anthony Mantha, Matthew Phillips, Beck Malenstyn, Ethen Frank, Riley Sutter, Ryan Hofer, Bogdan Trineyev, Joe Snively, Nicolas Aube-Kubel

Defensemen: Hardy Häman Aktell, Dylan McIlrath, Alex Alexeyev, Jon McDonald, Martin Fehervary, Chase Priskie, Trevor van Riemsdyk

    Goalies: Charlie Lindgren, Hunter Shepard

The majority of these skaters were taking part in the Group A practice on Friday. Some of those Group A players will not be in attendance, as some names from Group B will make their way to Michigan.
