Here's what the Capitals had to say postgame, with some fun talk about defense, playing big in net and, of course, Movember and Lindgren's iconic mustache.

WASHINGTON — For the Washington Capitals, it was all about defense on Saturday. And ultimately, that won the game, as Charlie Lindgren helped backstop Washington to a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Lindgren made 34 saves on 35 shots, but beyond the goaltending, the Capitals also put the body on the line and blocked 25 attempts en route to the win, which was the franchise's 1,000th on home ice.

Here's what the team had to say postgame, live from the locker room.

"Every guy, every man in the room was doing it. It's contagious. One guy does it, the next guy up does it. That's something we're gonna build into our identity as a group," Wilson said. "That's how you win games, that's how you win championships is guys willing to lay it on the line. Tonight, guys were doing that."

Here's what Wilson, Lindgren and John Carlson had to say following the win, live from the locker room.
