Lindgren Postgame WASHINGTON — The Washington Capitals have played enough hockey to know that there are going to be ups and downs throughout the regular season; you're not going to win every game, and there are going to be moments of adversity. That's the case right now, as D.C. suffered back-to-back losses for the first time after falling to the New Jersey Devils, 3-2, on Saturday. All the while, the Capitals are trying to cope with not having their captain, Alex Ovechkin, in the lineup as he recovers from a broken leg. Despite the circumstances, though, no one in the room is pressing the panic button. “Oh, I think we’re fine," Charlie Lindgren said. "We just got keep our heads down and keep working.” Nic Dowd, who expressed displeasure with the amount of penalties he and D.C. took — including a controversial high-sticking call — that it'll be vital for the team to bounce back in Florida on the mentors' trip and avoid a three-game slide, and at the same time, said that the key is finding more offense with Ovechkin out.
