After a bounceback win against the defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers on Tuesday, the Washington Capitals are just up the highway for one last road tilt before the 4 Nations break, this time against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Here's everything to know before puck drop at 7 p.m. ET at Wells Fargo Center.
The Capitals aren't making any lineup changes, except Charlie Lindgren will get his chance to shine in net as he gets his turn in the goaltending rotation.
Here are the lines:
Alex Ovechkin-Dylan Strome-Tom Wilson
Aliaksei Protas-Pierre-Luc Dubois-Connor McMichael
Taylor Raddysh-Lars Eller-Ethen Frank
Brandon Duhaime-Nic Dowd-Andrew Mangiapane
Rasmus Sandin-John Carlson
Martin Fehervary-Matt Roy
Jakob Chychrun-Trevor van Riemsdyk
Charlie Lindgren
Logan Thompson
- Alex Ovechkin has goals in three straight games and is 17 away from passing Wayne Gretzky for the most in NHL history.
- Dylan Strome is riding a four-game point streak, with four points over that span as he became the first Washington player this season to hit 50 points.
- Tom Wilson has points in three straight outings and goals in back-to-back games, including goals in two straight outings.
- The fourth line was an absolute force on Tuesday, with Andrew Mangiapane putting on a show and Nic Dowd picking up three points. Watch out for them to continue to make noise.
- Aliaksei Protas, now an "elite talent" according to teammate Tom Wilson, has points in seven of his last eight and is also fresh off a multi-point game. Watch for him.
- Ethen Frank continues to impress with his speed, but his third line with Lars Eller and Taylor Raddysh also had some key moments against Florida, so keep the bottom-6 on your radar.
