WASHINGTON — The vibes are good for the Washington Capitals right now, and they'll look to keep that going and aim to steal back a Wild Card spot as they take on the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Here is everything to know before puck drop at Capital One Arena. Washington sits one point out of playoff position, with games in hand.

Washington Capitals Line Combinations

The Capitals will run it back with mostly the same lineup for Wednesday's showdown, except T.J. Oshie and Aliaksei Protas are both out with respective upper and lower-body injuries. Mike Sgarbossa and Nicolas Aube-Kubel will draw in.

Charlie Lindgren will get the nod, marking his 10th start in the last 11 games.

- T.J. Oshie is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

- Aliaksei Protas is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

- Nicklas Backstrom remains on indefinite leave due to his hip not responding as he'd hoped following hip resurfacing surgery.

- Alex Ovechkin struck twice on Monday and has points in eight of his last 10 outings, and he also became the first player ever to reach the 20-goal mark in 19 consecutive seasons from the start of his career.

- Tom Wilson has goals in back-to-back games and four points in his last five outings overall.

- Hendrix Lapierre has seven points in 12 games since his latest call-up and is among the NHL's rookie leaders in scoring since returning to the NHL on Feb. 26.

- The Capitals have power-play goals in 10 of the last 12 outings overall.
