The Jets will host the Stars on Saturday afternoon.

Carter Brooks Winnipeg Jets Postgame Report

The 13-1-0 Winnipeg Jets will host the 8-4-0 Dallas Stars from Canada Life Centre on Saturday afternoon.

The game has had its start time adjusted to 2:00 PM central from its original 6:00 PM puck drop to help accommodate Winnipeggers torn between the red-hot Jets and the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers, who are facing the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West Final at 5:30 PM central just down the road.

Winnipeg enters Saturday's matinee with a near-perfect 13-1 record through 14 games, and has a shot at NHL history, which currently has the Jets tied with Ottawa (2007-08) as the team with the best start to a season. One more win would give Winnipeg the outright record.

Subsequently, the Jets are on a two-game shutout streak, to which Connor Hellebuyck has picked up back-to-back clean sheets with a 3-0 win over Utah on Tuesday and a 1-0 shutout over the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday.

Winnipeg will use the same lineup on Saturday as it has currently been rolling with, in hopes for a similar result. Hellebuyck will start, while the forward groupings and defence pairs remain

The Jets will take off for three games on the road following Saturday's contest.
