The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed depth forward David Gustafsson on a two-year deal.
Gustafsson, 24, played just 39 games last season due to a lower-body injury that sidelined him for roughly eight weeks. He scored three goals and finished with four assists for just seven points. He is re-upped for two more seasons with an AAV at $835K.

During his time with the Manitoba Moose, he recorded 24 goals and 35 assists for 59 points in 88 games. It hasn’t transitioned to the NHL level however, as he’s scored four goals with 10 assists for 14 points in 113 games with the Jets.
The Swedish forward may encounter more competition than ever for the Jets bottom six, as Manitoba will have some eager forwards in Parker Ford, Brad Lambert, Axel Jonsson-Fjällby as well as others, looking to solidify a spot.
