    Canada is golden once again!

On Thursday evening, Team Canada beat Team USA 3-2 in overtime in the 4 Nations Face-Off.

The game was the greatest spectacle on ice between Canada and USA since the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The championship final did not fail to live up to the hype.

Connor McDavid scored the game-winner midway through the overtime period, with Canadians everywhere letting out a much needed sigh of relief following a strong offensive onslaught from the Americans.

Goaltender Jordan Binnington made three game-stopping saves in the overtime period just moments before McDavid's game-winner.

Manitobans on the Canadian squad included Elkhorn's Travis Sanheim and Winnipeg's Seth Jarvis and Mark Stone. Each took their respective twirl with the 4 Nations Cup.

Winnipeg Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey didn't get to play on Thursday after coming down with an illness in the afternoon. As a matter of fact, he didn't even join the team on the ice for his medal presentation, opting to stay away from his teammates in fear of contagion.

With Kyle Connor also sitting out as a healthy scratch for the Americans and Connor Hellebuyck coming up one save short, all three Jets will return to Winnipeg hungry for more to come.
