Kyle Connor Expected to Sit Out Gold Medal Game as Healthy Scratch

Winnipeg Jets star forward Kyle Connor is expected to serve as a healthy scratch for Team USA in the championship game at the 4 Nations Face-Off on Thursday.

Although not official, Connor did stay out late for additional work following the Americans' morning skate in Boston.

Veteran Chris Kreider, to whom is expected to replace Connor in the lineup, was not present at the skate, providing some additional confusion of an already murky situation.

Connor, who spoke to reporters after the skate, did not indicate whether or not he would be dressing, just indicating he felt the atmosphere would mirror that of a 'Game 7'.

Connor's teammate Connor Hellebuyck will be in goal for the Americans, who take on Josh Morrissey and the Canadians in the winner-takes-all championship game as the 4 Nations Face-Off comes to a close in Boston on Thursday night. The game will see a 7:20 PM central start time.

Actually, Morrisey is a scratch for the Canadian team, so that means Helly is the sole Jet on the ice.

Scheifs should have been on the Cdn roster.
