Nikolaj Ehlers remains a mystery heading into Game 2 of the first round Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and the host Vegas Golden Knights
With Winnipeg having earned the win in Game 1 on Tuesday night, the Jets will look to pull ahead to a commanding 2-0 series lead before the teams travel to Manitoba for Game 3 and 4, set for Saturday afternoon and Monday night at Canada Life Centre.
After sitting out Game 1 despite telling reporters he was "good to go", forward Nikolaj Ehlers did not skate with the team on Wednesday and was once again not a participant for Winnipeg's morning skate on Thursday.
Morgan Barron, who took Laurent Brossoit's skate to the face, which required 75 stitches to fix, was on the ice on Thursday and is expected to play - full cage and all - in Game 2.
But Ehlers, on the other hand, is still a mystery.
Should he be forced to miss another game with the upper-body injury suffered from the illegal check by Minnesota's Ryan Hartman, it is expected that head coach Rick Bowness will roll with the same 20-man group that got the win on Tuesday.
Those lines are as follows:
