Blue Jackets forward to make donation for each point scored this season.

Former Winnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine has committed to donating $1K for each point he scores over the course of the 2023-24 NHL season.
Suiting up for his fourth season in Columbus, the now 25-year-old has already scored once and added an assist in his three games played for the Blue Jackets.
Laine's donations will go towards the mental health and behavioural disorders chapter of his local Ohio community. The funds raised will go to the OhioHealth Foundation.
“Good mental health is an important issue and one that is very personal to me as I have struggled with it myself at times,” Laine said.
“I’m proud to partner with the OhioHealth Foundation this season to raise money and awareness to support men in our community that may be struggling emotionally or psychologically and need help.”
Last season, he had 22 goals and 52 points in his 55 games with Columbus.
He had 140 goals and 250 points in four seasons with the Winnipeg Jets.
His next goal will be a big one, as the Tampere, Finland product is currently sitting on 199 career tallies. Laine and his Blue Jackets next face off against the Calgary Flames on Friday night.
