Two members of the Winnipeg Jets announced their engagements last week.
Two American-born players from the Winnipeg Jets have officially locked in their life partners over the past week.
On the weekend, both Kyle Connor and Dylan Samberg announced their engagements via social media.
First it was Connor, whose now fiancé Ally Petack, made a simple, yet elegant post on Instagram indicating the couple's big decision.
Having likely spent more time this summer on the water than off it, it only seemed fitting for the Jets' goal scoring leader since 2017-18 (207 goals) to have the lake pictured in the background.
The wake surfing and country music-loving duo have stayed busy throughout the summer months, but with players beginning to trickle back into Winnipeg for the 2023-24 season, Connor certainly closed out his offseason in Grand Seiko style.
A few days later it was Samberg who successfully proposed to his long-term girlfriend Destiny Schmitz.
The two shared a joint post on Instagram showcasing the ring, the skyline and Samberg's elaborate proposal setup.

Schmitz, also a University of Minnesota-Duluth alum, has been dating her fellow Bulldog since early-2019. Although not quite as lengthy as Connor and Petack's relationship, Samberg and Schmitz have certainly posted their fair share of sappy social media content over the years.
Earlier this summer it was defenceman Brenden Dillon who re-did his wedding with his wife Emma Wittchow, after the couple was forced to have an intimate ceremony during peak COVID times in November of 2020. The couple tied a second knot with family and friends in attendance at a breathtaking venue in the Rocky Mountains in early-August.
The three romantics are all expected back in town for Jets training camp as September rolls on.
