The Winnipeg Jets prospects took to the ice for development camp this past weekend.

The top prospects of the Winnipeg Jets took to the ice in a four-day development camp at the hockey for all centre in Winnipeg's westernmost neighbourhood.

The prospect camp ran from Thursday through Sunday, with the players participating in group drills, exercises and mini games.

For some, the camp was their first as drafted players by the Jets, while others have attended in past seasons.

Speaking following the camp, general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff touched on the importance of attendance at the development camp, the team bonding and other internal aspects young players face when suiting up during the annual summer showcase. He singled out Brad Lambert, as opposed to Rutger McGroarty, who chose to stay home, amid his apparent frustration.

“It says a lot about a player like Brad Lambert who doesn't have to come here, but wants to come here and be a part of it and take on that leadership role," Cheveldayoff said.

With the prospects now set to head back home for the rest of the summer, fans who were unable to attend the skates (which were open to the public) can sift through the photos from James Carey Lauder, Rusty Barton and Scott Stroh provided below:
