The first five games of the series saw Perfetti throw 10 shots on goal, failing to convert any of those shots. Several of those chances would be considered high-danger or Grade A chances that Perfetti was shocked to be stopped on. Regression is widespread in sports, hockey especially, and Perfetti got his dose of regression in Game 6 when he finally scored his first goal of the playoffs. The goal proved to be of no significance as the Jets were steamrolled in the second period, but it tied the game at the time. "Playing in a Game 7. First time ever doing that, it was awesome playing in front of this crowd. It was incredible tonight... Again, no quit. Guys were exhausted but fought until the last second, and we got it done." Perfetti enjoyed another positive season, setting a new career-high of 50 points and coming up one goal short of his career-high he set last season.
