Rasmus Kupari scored his first in 20 games as he drove to the back post and tapped in a great feed by Morgan Barron. Devon Toews regained the Avalanches lead after they had the Jets buried in their own end for an extended period of time. Gabriel Vilardi nodded things at two as he outmuscled an Avalanche defender to pot his 18th of the season. The Jets were outshot once again in the second period; 10-7, but entered the third period tied. Casey Mittelstadt helped the Avalanche take the lead for the third time in the game with his eighth of the season.
