He was ejected from New York's Monday night affair with New Jersey after catching defenceman Jonas Siegenthaler in the head with a glancing blow by his elbow. The big enforcer was handed 15 penalty minutes on the play, adding to his impressive totals of 54 minutes on the season in just 10 contests. Having taken the NHL by storm with four fights against some of the game's toughest customers to begin his NHL career, the 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward will now have to sit out another three games following the league's decision from his disciplinary hearing. Having sat out New York's game on Tuesday, Rempe officially was handed a four-game ban later in the day. Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Rempe will forfeit $17,083.32. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund. It just so happens that Rempe's return to the lineup coincides with the Winnipeg Jets' visit to Madison Square Garden next Tuesday. The pugilist may not have much for a dancing partner, unless captain Adam Lowry or Brenden Dillon are willing to throw down as fellow Western Hockey League graduates. The Rangers are currently three points up on Winnipeg in the Presidents' Trophy race.
