Carter brooks The Winnipeg Jets will be down another man for the coming month, as forward Rasmus Kupari deals with a shoulder injury. On Wednesday morning, interim head coach Scott Arniel announced that the 23-year-old winger/centre would miss roughly four-to-six weeks as he recovers from an injury sustained on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils. The first-year Jet stumbled into the side boards near his defensive zone blue line wit roughly eight minutes to play in the first period on Tuesday. He attempted to skate back to Winnipeg's defensive end but opted against it almost immediately. He then made his way straight down the tunnel and did not return. Postgame, Arniel said the team would have more information on Monday. That information was not good news, as Arniel said the former Los Angeles Kings first rounder would be out until at least mid-December. Having already lost fellow forward and offseason Kings tradee Gabe Vilardi to injury in the early stages of the season, Winnipeg is walking on eggshells in hopes of maintaining the health of the lone remaining player from the Jets/Kings offseason trade, first line forward Alex Iafallo. To accommodate Kupari's injury absence, the Jets will make a recall from the AHL's Manitoba Moose. Vilardi, who skated in a non-contact sweater on Wednesday, is not yet ready to be thrown into drills, as he still needs more time to recover from his knee injury.
