Former QMJHL Star Goaltender Gravel To BCHL

Week18

Almost since Charles-Edward Gravel entered the QMJHL, he'd been 'the guy' between the pipes. He had started for parts of three seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada before being brought in to start for Baie-Comeau as they were looking for a playoff push. He would help them reach the QMJHL finals.

This season was no different, he was brought in to help put the Saint John Sea Dogs on the map as a contender to watch. However, while his .914 save percentage over 28 games was great, the wheels quickly fell off the Sea Dogs.

After trading Washington Capitals prospect LW Eriks Mateiko at the deadline, the Sea Dogs and Gravel would part ways.

Now he's picked up a new gig, as Jamie Tozer reports, Gravel has signed on to be the new starting goaltender for the BCHL's Prince George Spruce Kings -- a team that has struggled mightily this season, especially between the pipes.

Gravel leaves behind a .900 save percentage across 176 QMJHL games.
