QMJHL Trade Period: Fau Jayden Plouffe with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens [https://thehockeynews.com/.image/c_fit,h_600,w_600/MjExNDY4Mjc2MjY0MzQ2Nzgz/chi_plouffejayden_20242025_action_2.jpg] Jayden Plouffe with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens The Sherbrooke Phoenix have acquired 2024 QMJHL sixth overall pick, left winger Jayden Plouffe in exchange for a 2026 first, 2026 second, 2025 third (from the Cape Breton Eagles) and a 2027 seventh round pick. Plouffe, 16, has three points (1+2) over 14 games with the Sags. The 5-foot-10 is considered a notable prospect in the 2026 NHL draft, having represented Team Canada on it's White team at the Under-17s [https://thehockeynews.com/qmjhl/latest-news/recap-the-qmjhl-at-under-17-world-challenge] last month. As Sherbrooke isn't quite as deep, this should give Plouffe more of an opportunity and more room for growth -- especially in his draft year next year. FEATURED MORE NEWS
