Seattle, WA - Tuesday night is the final of four straight home games at Climate Pledge Arena and the last matchup between Ottawa and Seattle this season. Seattle is 3-3-1 all-time vs. Ottawa, including a 2-1-0 mark at home.
Several Seattle Kraken players are closing in on major career milestones as they prepare for Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators. The game will be Matty Beniers' 200th NHL career game.
Oliver Bjorkstrand has found tremendous success, notching nine points in 17 games. Shane Wright, earned seven points in his last six games, and Eeli Tolvanen, is riding a two-game point streak.
Yanni Gourde and Chandler Stephenson are one assist shy of 200 career NHL assists. Gourde, who was scratched recently due to an upper body injury and is still listed as day to day, has been especially effective against Ottawa, scoring six goals and 14 points in 19 career games against the Senators. Oliver Bjorkstrand and Brandon Montour follow closely behind only needing two more each to reach the same mark.
Montour leads all active Kraken players in assists (11) and points (16) against Ottawa and is tied for third in goals (7) over 22 career matchups. Montour, the team's top-scoring defenseman with 8 goals and 20 points, is on pace to surpass Jared McCann's 50-point season from 2021-22, which would set a new franchise record for a Kraken player in their first year with the team.
Several other Kraken players have strong histories against Ottawa, including Vince Dunn, who has 12 points (4g/8a) in 11 games against the Senators, and Andre Burakovsky, who has 12 points in 19 career contests. Jared McCann, with 7 goals and 11 points in 20 games vs. Ottawa, is another key contributor.
In goal, Philipp Grubauer is 5-4-0 with a 2.13 GAA and .930 SV% in nine games against Ottawa, while Joey Daccord is 1-1-0 with a 1.53 GAA and .951 SV% in two appearances.
The Kraken will look to build on these individual milestones as they face off against the Senators Tuesday night. Puck drop is at 7PM PST. It’s also Trapper Hat give-a-way night to the first fans who attend the event.

200 games for this evening. It's not easy to get in there, of course, as an average player, but just your general observations on the information that- Is tonight is 200th? Yep. Okay, good. I guess just the question is, you know, the observations as far as the info that you got before you got here and how is that kind of helping feed the player that you're trying to coach? Yeah, you know, I've probably watched, you know, 85% of his games as a Kraken to this point, so I've seen a lot of them. I think a young player growing in his game, a young player trying to figure it out, and that's the great thing about Matty is he's constantly and continually working on where he can be better at, what he needs to do to have success in the game, what he needs to do for our team to have success in the game. That's where he's every day. What does that produce? A hard working, kind of intentful guy in everything he does. You know, it's a 19-year-old, 20-year-old, 21-year-old, 22-year-old growing in the game, and he's getting better and better. He's in that fight right now. You know, I think he's not super happy with how the games have gone for him personally in the last three or four. What does that mean? He's put his head down and he's going to work. He's trying to find a solution, and I think that's what is promising about his future is that that's where his mindset is, and he will continue to get better and better.
