

The Calgary Flames have selected forward Cole Reschny of the WHL Victoria Royals with the 18th overall pick in the 2025 NHL draft.
The 18-year-old scored 26 goals and 66 assists for 92 points in 62 games with a rating of +42 in the 2024-25 WHL season. His points total was the second-highest amongst draft-eligible skaters in the league. He then scored 25 points in 11 games in the playoffs.
He also had the second-highest number of power play assists amongst draft prospects.
The Saskatchewan native was on Team Canada's 2024-25 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and U-18 World Championship gold-medal winning teams, scoring eight goals and 15 points in 10 games.
