According to a report from The Athletic, the Columbus Blue Jackets have made several changes to their support staff.

The following staff members will not be returning:

• Conditioning coach Kevin Collins, with the team since 2010
• Equipment manager Jamie Healy, who has been with the team since its expansion in 2000
• Video coach Dan Singleton, also with the team since 2000
• Assistant athletic trainer Naoto Goto, with the team since 2012

In addition, the Blue Jackets have announced that the following individuals have signed contract extensions with the team:

• Niklas Backstrom (goaltending)
• Jared Boll (assistant)
• Steve McCarthy (assistant)

The departure of these support staff signals that GM Don Waddell is committed to making changes beyond just the players on the ice. The search for new support staff will begin immediately.
