Forward Austin Brimmer has signed a one-year AHL-only contract with the Vancouver Canucks' AHL affiliate team, the Abbotsford Canucks.

The contract will run through the 2026-27 season.

The 24-year-old will join Abbotsford for the remainder of the 2025-26 season on a professional try-out agreement.

He most recently finished his senior season at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), a Division III NCAA school where he served as an alternate captain and led the team with 25 points (10G, 15A) in 36 games.

Edit: This article was updated to correct that Brimmer is a forward and not a defenceman as originally reported
