The Carolina Hurricanes pushed their win streak to eight, with a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks Thursday night.

Seth Jarvis, Sebastian Aho and Sean Walker all scored, while Frederik Andersen stopped 24 shots in the win.

After the game, Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour along with Aho and Walker spoke with FanDuel Sports' Hanna Yates in San Jose. Here's what they had to say:

    Rod Brind'Amour

On the game: I thought it was a solid game. We gave them a goal because a guy crashes into the net. Nothing we could do there, but I thought that, other than that, we were pretty solid. A good third period too, right? Came out, made a couple of nice play and put the puck into the net. Really we were fine until kind of a little bit of a phantom call at the end and then the stress was on us for the last couple of minutes, but other than that, I thought it was a pretty solid effort.

On the Sebastian Aho line: They were buzzing around and they had a lot of good shifts. Probably deserved a little better. They were one of our best lines if not the best line. I thought in general everyone played a good game and that's what we've need and that's what we've been doing here in this stretch. Everyone's contributing, finding a way. A huge penalty kill at the end. Everyone blocking shots and doing what they had to do to get it done.

On Taylor Hall: There was a lot going on there. It was a good backcheck and Rosy actually skated it out, got it in and then we do what we had to do. Got it out to the top and then got to get to the net. When I talk about our goals, that's generally how we do it. Everyone has their hand in it and that's what happened there.

On the winning streak: The secret is just to not look at it as such. I think we just come in every day and try to get better and whether we've won eight in a row or not, it's irrelevant. It's 0-0 when we start the game and we try to win that game, that day and that's kind of how we've approached it always and that's how we're going to do it next game.

    Sebastian Aho

On the game: I felt like we played solid the whole night. Obviously we were down a goal after the first, but it wasn't that bad of a period. Kind of just kept pushing. Freddie was good in net and we were able to find the needed goals. That got us the win.

On his line: I thought it was a pretty good game by us. We were hounding the puck, on the forecheck all night and we got a lot of pucks back. Whenever we got in the o-zone, we kind of took over. That's the stuff I'm not too worried about. We all can skate, stickhandle and look for the pass and shoot. Just get to those loose pucks, win those battles and we usually do good.

On the winning streak: It's been good. I feel like we've been doing a solid job every game. Starting on time, but different kinds of wins too. Today, we came back from being down after the first and some of the other games have just been over after the first first period because we'd been up a few goals. The two points is what matters and we're just trying to stack them up right now and make our ways to the playoffs.

    Sean Walker

On the game: We started pretty good in the first, but with some of the ebbs and flows of the game, we got away from our system and what we wanted to do. But I think most of the night, we just stuck with it and eventually started doing what we wanted to do and pucks started going in for us. Just have to keep going with it here.

On his goal: Hallsy made a great play. He's a high-end player. So we preach all the time just getting pucks to the net and that was really all I was trying to do. Great net-front by KK and luckily it found its way in.

On Taylor Hall: He's tough to play against, just a high-end player. He makes those plays every shift and he's been a great addition. Happy to be out there on the ice with him.

On the winning streak: You're not going to have those nights every night where it's a 5-0, so again, some ebbs and flows there, but you just have to stick with it and that's going to be important going forward.
