Dylan Holloway knew what to expect.
Going into Rogers Place as a visitor for the first time since signing a two-year offer sheet -- along with Philip Broberg -- that the Edmonton Oilers did not match on Aug. 20 was going to bring this day, a day in which he would hear it from the Oilers fanbase.
The St. Louis Blues forward didn't seem too bothered by the boos.
Even in a 4-2 loss on Saturday at Rogers Place, Holloway scored in his return to extend his point streak to a career-high six games (five goals, four assists).
The Blues (13-13-2) didn't have anything going offensively until the third period when Holloway gave them life with a one-timer, beating buddy Stuart Skinner from the slot off a Robert Thomas backhand pass at 5:02 of the third period to make it a 3-1 game:
Holloway was a threat to score all night, finishing tied with a game-high five shots in 15:06; he played the game with Oskar Sundqvist and Zack Bolduc and that line had a Corsi-for of 16-10.
Holloway continues to trend in the right direction, which bodes well for the Blues. We've said it before: he keeps thriving under new coach Jim Montgomery.
