Fargo Force netminder Hampton Slukynsky has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Year for the 2023–24 season. The Los Angeles Kings draft pick put up eye-popping numbers in his first USHL season.
Slukynsky collected a 28-3-0-0 record in 33 appearances and led the league in goals-against average (1.86), save percentage (0.923), shutouts (5), and wins (28).
The 18-year-old picked up wins in 12 of his first 13 starts and three shutouts in the first half of the 2023–24 season, while allowing more than two goals just once during that stretch.
Slukynsky picked up where he left off in the first half, recording 16 wins in 20 appearances and two more shutouts in the second half. The Northern Michigan commit earned USHL Goaltender of the Week honors three times during the 2023–24 season.
He becomes the third Fargo Force goaltender to be named USHL Goaltender of the Year, joining Zane Gothberg, who shared the award with Green Bay's Ryan McKay (2012) and Mike Lee (2009).
