Ryan Kennedy and Mike Stephens discussed whether OHLer Michael Misa's strong performance is similar to Connor Bedard's rookie WHL season.
While both players aren't in the NHL yet, Connor Bedard and Michael Misa are showing huge potential in their major junior leagues.
Misa, 15, was granted exceptional status to enter the OHL one year early, and he's already scoring more than a point per game for the third-place Saginaw Spirit with 28 points in 20 games.
Bedard also received exceptional status from Hockey Canada to play in the WHL back in 2020-21. COVID-19 shortened that season, but Bedard still notched 28 points in 15 games on a Regina Pats team with little help around him. He's the presumptive No. 1 pick of the 2023 NHL draft who's got 59 points in 27 games this season with the Regina Pats.
Ryan Kennedy and Mike Stephens tackled a mailbag question of how similar Michael Misa is to Connor Bedard this early in his OHL career on the Nov. 29 edition of The Hockey News Podcast.
