The Medicine Hat Tigers winger and projected first overall in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft has announced that he will play next season at Penn State University in the NCAA . McKenna will join former Tri-City Americans defenceman Jackson Smith, as well as former Spokane Chiefs forward Shea Van Olm, who are also headed to Penn State in 2025-26.
