Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is off to a tremendous start.

The National Hockey League announced its three stars of the week, and Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck was among the crew.

Posting a sparkling 3-0-0 record with one shutout, a 0.66 goals against average and a .976 save percentage, Hellebuyck was named the NHL's second star, behind Utah's Dylan Guenther and ahead of Vegas' Jack Eichel.

Hellebuyck took home the league's two top goaltending trophies last season, as the Vezina and Jennings winner.

He has allowed just two goals against in his three games played thus far in 2024-24.

Next up for Winnipeg is a test against San Jose on Friday night - on Connor Hellebuyck night from Canada Life Centre - before the Pittsburgh Penguins roll into town on Sunday afternoon.

It is expected that backup goaltender Eric Comrie may get the start on Sunday.

Selected 130th overall in the fifth round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Connor Hellebuyck has now been named one of the NHL's three stars of the week on five separate occasions.
