
Olympic gold medalist for Team Canada, and new head coach for both Boston University and Canada's U-18 team, Tara Watchorn discusses her career and the state of women's hockey.
Tara Watchorn is taking over as the head coach for Boston University, and was also recently named the head coach for Canada's U-18 World Championship team.
As a player, the now 33-year-old won Olympic gold with Canada in 2014, and also won three silver medals as a member of Canada's national team at the World Championships.
The five-foot-ten defender herself is an alumni of Boston University, and also spent multiple seasons in the CWHL where she was named Defender of the Year in 2015, the same season her Boston Blades won a Clarkson Cup.
In this interview, Watchorn discusses not only her playing and coaching career, which has moved from Stonehill College last season to her new role with Boston University moving forward, but also the state of women's hockey.
