Finishing on a high note is sometimes a privilege. Lore Baudrit, captain of the French national team since 2022, couldn't have dreamed of anything better. France won the Division 1A World Championship in Budapest and will return to the top division for the third time in 2027. "Les Bleues" had a solid tournament, conceding only one overtime loss against Hungary, and securing three victories, including a decisive win against Slovakia on the final day. An emotional one for Baudrit.

But it was time for her to end her career, as she had announced before the competition.
Lore Baudrit participated in her first World Championship in 2008 and played in a total of sixteen during her career. She has won nine medals at the World Championships (Division 1A & Division 1B).
During the World Championship in Budapest, Baudrit set a new record for appearances on the French national team, finishing with 255 caps. The previous record (251) belonged to Virginie Bouetz-Andrieu, who had held it for ten years.
Baudrit spent a significant portion of her career in Montreal. For five years, she played for the University of Montreal, benefiting from exchanges between the French federation and Danièle Sauvageau, who later became a mentor for the French national team. She won the national title in 2016, before playing for the Montreal Canadiennes in the CWHL. She also spent part of her career in Sweden, playing for six years before spending two years in Germany with Ingolstadt.

I'm moving on to something else. I'm very happy with the career I've had," Capitaine Lore announced to the french media L'Équipe.
Lore Baudrit became captain of the French national team in 2022, succeeding Marion Allemoz, her longtime teammate and partner in life. Fate decreed that she would experience the same happy ending to her career with Les Bleues than Marion. She can leave, her duty fulfilled. And to dedicate herself to her family and encourage a talented new generation of the French team.
