Ottawa Charge defender and American Olympian Rory Guilday had a difficult road to the Olympics including a tumor and treatment that threatened her career.

In middle school, Guilday was diagnosed with an optic nerve glioma, or a benign tumor, that was growing and starting to affect the vision in her right eye.
