Swedish club Luleå HF has announced on its website that it has extended the contract of defender Johanna Fälmann, who will play for Norrbotten for another season. She is the most decorated player in the history of the Swedish championship, with 7 gold medals, tied with Emma Nordin and Noora Tulus.

This will be the 10th season in Luleå for the 35-year-old former PWHL New York player. According to Swedish media NSD, she is expected to miss the start of the season due to shoulder surgery.

Fällman had been hampered for much of the season by injuries, to her knee and shoulder. She underwent shoulder surgery last April for a fracture and a torn tendon, which left her career in doubt. Fortunately Johanna Fällman will be back in SDHL, and she will try to obtain an eighth Swedish championship title !
