The new season of the PostFinance Women's League (PFWL), one of the best women's league in Europe, will begin on September 12.
The same eight teams will take part in the championship : reigning champion SC Bern, national cup winner EV Zug, HC Ambrì-Piotta, HC Davos Ladies, HC Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies, SC Langenthal Damen, Neuchâtel Hockey Academy and ZSC Lions.
Each team will play 28 games during the regular season, the two best teams will qualify directly for the semi-finals. Teams ranked 3rd to 6th will have to play the "play in", a best-of-five series. The last two teams will play a "play out" series.
As last year, the matches will be broadcast free of charge in Switzerland on the Red+ network. Website blick.ch will broadcast a game each week.
