This is a fitting tribute to one of the legends of Swedish hockey. On September 5th, Emma Nordin's number 29 will be hoisted atop the Coop Norbotten Arena. She will be the first Luleå player to receive this honor. This date is significant, as it will be the first game of the season and will also mark the 10th anniversary of the Luleå HF women's team's participation in the elite league.

Emma Nordin, who retired last spring, participated in that first season in the Riksserien, later renamed the SDHL. She won six championship titles with Luleå. Nordin is the SDHL's all-time leading scorer with 580 points in 475 games, and she also has the most assists, with 317. Nordin also played 250 international games with Sweden, six World Championships, and four Olympics.
