Amalie Andersen - Beauts Sign Amalie Andersen, Becomes First Danish Player in PHF History

The Buffalo Beauts have signed Danish defender Amalie Andersen to a one-year contract. Anderson becomes the first player from Denmark to ever sign in the PHF, according to the Beauts.

Andersen joins the Beauts following an NCAA career with the Maine Black Bears where she recently completed her senior season playing eight games, recording no points.

Andersen played for Denmark at the 2022 Olympic Games, and has represented her nation at six World Championships.

"I have heard great things about the Beauts organization and it felt right to sign my first professional contract with Buffalo,” said Andersen in a team news release.

Prior to joining Maine where Andersen compiled nine points in 60 career games, the blueliner played three seasons for Linkoping in the SDHL.

"Amalie is a very rugged defender,” said Beauts general manager Nate Oliver. “As nice as she might be off of the ice, she has a sandpapery disposition on it. Amalie comes from a strong hockey pedigree with her father, mother, brothers, uncles and cousins all having played at a high level. Some people are just naturally gifted in that way, and I do think that there is something to be said for genetics. Aside from that though, Amalie stands entirely on her own with what she can do on the ice and we are very proud that she is now a Buffalo Beaut!”
