The Metropolitan Riveters have added a member of Czechia's national team in Noemi Neubauerova, who inked a one-year contract with the PHF franchise.

“I am really excited to be signing with the Riveters for my first year in the PHF,” said Neubauerova in a team news release. “I just had a good feeling about the Riveters after talking to the coaching staff and I knew it would be a good place for me to grow as a player and a teammate. I followed the PHF quite a bit last year and to me it seems like the league is improving and heading in the right direction."

Neubauerova, 23, recently completed a five year NCAA career, last season scoring 26 points in 36 games for Providence College after spending the previous four years with Colgate.

Internationally, Neubauerova has appeared in four World Championships and one Olympic Games with Czechia, winning back-to-back bronze at the past two World Championship tournaments. This year the Kolin, Czechia product had three assists in seven games at Worlds.

"Noemi is a young, eager Czech national team player who takes pride in her work ethic,” said Venla Hovi, the Riveters' head coach. “She is a two-way forward who we can expect to push the pace at practices and build onto her game throughout the year. She outworks players and isn’t afraid to drive the net and engage in battles. We are very lucky to have her join the Riveters.”
